Montana Total Joint Center

Great advancements have been made in orthopedic research and clinical outcomes. People with chronic knee, hip or shoulder pain have the option of replacing painful joints with artificial joint implants. With the reduction or alleviation of the pain, patients return to their optimal functioning potential.

The Montana Total Joint Program at St. Vincent offers pre- and post-surgical services designed to create a seamless patient experience.

Pre-surgical educational classes are offered and led by physical therapists, nurses, and occupational therapists, and include:

  • "What to expect" during the hospital stay through recovery
  • Diagrammed exercise instruction for pre and post surgical exercises

Following joint replacement surgery, patients work with physical or occupational therapists when referred by the physician. Post surgical intervention includes a reassessment of the current status, review and progression of home exercises, and functional movement activities.

The Montana Total Joint Program includes an expert staff, state-of-the-art facilities and technology, and advanced diagnostic and treatment techniques. The comprehensive program gives patients the information and confidence they need to return, as quickly as possible, to an active lifestyle.
